Getaway Itinerary to the Kerala

Day 1: Arrival & Backwater Exploration
Arrive in Kollam and check into your hotel or resort, ideally by the backwaters for a peaceful setting.
Start with a visit to Ashtamudi Lake, the second-largest lake in Kerala, which offers serene backwater views and is perfect for a houseboat cruise. You can experience the beautiful scenery of coconut groves, small villages, and wildlife during the ride.
Explore Munroe Island, where the backwaters meet the sea. You can take a canoe ride here to explore its unique ecosystem and village life.
Spend the afternoon at Jatayu Earth Center, located in the nearby town of Chadayamangalam (optional). The center offers an aerial view of the surroundings and has a giant statue of Jatayu, a mythical eagle from the Ramayana.
Enjoy a relaxing evening by the Kollam Beach, where you can walk along the shore or just sit back and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.

Day 2: Cultural and Nature Exploration
Start your day with a visit to Sree Mahaganapathi Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, one of the most revered temples in Kollam.
Head to Palaruvi Waterfalls, located about 35 km from Kollam. It's a stunning waterfall, known for its scenic beauty and ideal for a refreshing dip or a short trek in the surrounding forest.
Visit the Kollam Lighthouse for panoramic views of the coastline and the surrounding areas.
Explore Thirumullavaram Beach, a less crowded and peaceful beach perfect for relaxation.

Day 3: Temple Visits & Departure
Visit Thevally Palace, a historic palace that was once the residence of the rulers of Travancore. You can explore its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings.
Explore Raman Pillai Museum, a heritage museum with exhibits that provide insight into the local history and culture.
Spend some time at Shenduruny Wildlife Sanctuary, an offbeat destination located around 40 km from Kollam, where you can enjoy nature walks and wildlife sightings in the forested area.
